Nature's Great Gifts

One resident, Jo Øvergaard, expresses the joys of having access to untouched, untamed nature.

-The possibilities for outdoor activities are endless here.

Indeed, Sollia offers a wealth of natural treasures. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore a vast range of activities. From hunting wild reindeer, moose, roe deer, deer, hares, grouse to fishing in mountain lakes with nets or engaging in sports fishing in the rivers. There is a lot of trout, Arctic char and grayling, while the forests yield a bounty of berries and mushrooms.

In the winter months, while there are no ski resorts or bustling tourists, Sollia offers something else - endless opportunities for skiing. Jo Øvergaard likes the absence of grand ski resorts.

-What I love most about living here is the opportunity to find silence. It’s priceless.
