Life by the Fjord

With approximately 2 300 residents, Sjøholt is nestled along the Storfjorden. Many people here have stunning views from their living room windows! The village boasts numerous amenities including schools, shops, a marina, dining establishments, a bank, post office, and gas station. At its center stands Ørskog Church, affectionately known as the Cathedral of Storfjorden. Built in 1873, this church features large stained-glass windows and can accommodate 600 people.

During the summer months, Sjøholt offers plenty of idyllic spots for swimming, while winter sees many residents heading to the local ski resort, Ørskogfjellet Ski Center.

A short drive of under an hour will take you to the city of Ålesund, while Molde is just an hour and a half away.
