The Kindergarden and the Beach

Let’s start with the kindergarden. It has large natural areas, a tiny little wooden brigde over a tiny little river. A green house, a herb garden, strawberries and of course all the usual playground equipments like swings and slides. Like the rest of Eikefjord, it overlooks the landscape of mountains and the fjord – called Eikefjorden, naturally. Close by is the beach, a place that is popular for both kids and adults in the summertime.

Located nearby is the “Allhus” venue, available for various events such as celebrations, weddings, and small meetings. Additionally, the facility hosts library services three times a week and movie screenings from time to time. Eikefjord also has a grocery store, a gas station, small shops, a school with more than 150 students, and a small boat port. Not bad for a little west coast village by the fjord!
