A Trading Post by the Fjord
Abelvær is located in the heart of Norway, at the crossroads of the Nordic countries. The small village is often referred to as the “southern village” of Trøndelag.
Since the early 1800s, Abelvær has welcomed guests from near and far. Today, just over 100 people live in the village, and trade is still a significant part of their livelihood. The village boasts shops and several businesses have been established in Abelvær. The entrepreneurial spirit is very much alive.
There is also the beautiful Abelvær Manor, with long traditions. They offer accommodation through the rental of rooms and apartments, catering by appointment, meetings, and gatherings for small groups. They organize sea rafting, boat trips, and diving in collaboration with others, and also rent out kayaks.
